Hi Davy, I don't recognize those dealers from the Vancouver area. What area do you live in (can u update yr profile)? We use Lordco or Napa, do you have any near you?

You must be aware what year your L300 is (check the date on the seatbelt label as a vague guideline). The model changed in engine accessory stuff in early 1993. The 1992 model has the manual pull knob for throttle, and oil cooled turbo. The 1993 engine has no manual throttle knob, has water cooled turbo, and has different voltage glow plugs and ecu etc. But the changes were phased in over a couple months, so some early 1993 models have the manual throttle but have the later glow plugs and ecu. Assuming you have diesel engine not gas. Assuming 4 WD.

If you want to PM Private Message to me, with your Vin number (engraved near drivers seat) I can check for manufacture date. Don't post your vin on the open forum for privacy concerns.

Some stuff should be OEM from Japan (not OEM made in other countries) for best results, ie Glow Plugs, as others fail prematurely. Many other parts are OK with aftermarket stuff, but beware, ie a difference of 1/4 inch in a belt can be catastrophic.

My front disk brake pads are Raybestos PGD349C ceramic (and are definitely correct). Check your brake lines that lead to them, often the rubber gets little cracks with age, but if you see tiny bulgy blisters on the rubber then run to get new lines. Brake fluid should be flushed every 2 years (ensures don't overheat), hubs should be repacked with grease every 2 years (or when you change front pads).

Good parts website is John at RockyMountain Imports.net with pictures and prices. Mail everywhere across Canada, including to many repair shops.

Cheers, CHristine.

I will confirm with TardisDeli - I just did the front brakes on my '91 and they are an exact fit (*almost).

* The only difference is the backing plates. The replacement ones are not exact so I used the old ones off the OEM (I assume) pads. I got mine at a local auto parts store - $94/set - Raybestos PGD349C.

Thanks for the info TardisDeli - It made it easy.

There is a USI Parts on the No. Shore (Main St. between Mountain Hwy. and Harbour Ave. - South side).

That is where I got my pads.

Lordco is a BC company.

NAPA is in Quebec, as is Carquest.
