I just had a brake line blow out going down a steep hill into a pond (little hairy) and as much as my 3 year old loved the ride I think it might be a good idea to get the braided steel replacements.
I have read here that Montero brakes are the same are the soft lines (rubber hoses) the same to? Also does anyone know where to get the steel lines? Thanks for what ever help anyone can offer.

Re: Brake lines
Mopac Auto Supply.
Measure the length you need. Order that in stainless steel (they only come in standard - not metric what we need).
Then have them match up the ends (they will get you standard to metric adaptors).
Works well.

Re: Brake lines
Hard to tell what vehicle you have. If it's a stock height and stock brakes l300 you should contact http://www.greenlinehose.com as there is no domestic after market supplier for 7" long braided lines for the front brakes. They can make some up for you in the right length.
The rear brake line is way longer and you can get it from Lordco. Just ask them for Russell Performance Lines http://www.russellperformance.com You still would need to use adopters though to make them fit on the metric fittings of your Delica.
Might be also worth to think about a brake upgrade: http://dinoevo.de/2010/08/brake-upgrade/

Re: Brake lines
For a 2" lift you probably can get away with a 9" front lower brake line from Russell, but you would still need a custom made 7" brake line for the top front. The back is about 24" long and available from Russell as well.
If you replace the hoses a Flare Nut Wrench is a very helpful tool as some of the nuts are tight and you might strip them with a regular wrench.
