Here's more pictures of the Homy.
Since I've owned it the only mechanical work I've had to do is 4 new glow-plugs to give it a crisper start.
I bought it from a car lot in Coombs.
The reason I'm selling it is my wife hates the design. (She's calls it the Nissan Homely!)

Personally, I think it's great. It is very comfortable going down the highway at 110 Km/Hr.
It has a lot more power than my friends Delica and is roomier too. The trade-off is that it's nowhere the offroad vehicle the Delica is. Just not enough ground clearance.

I was just by Cheshire's place today and had a test drive. Very nice, very solid vehicle, and the price is right.

She holds the road nicely, there was snow on the road and the on-the-fly 4wd came in handy. Of course, I still have to get used to the RHD idea, and I would've liked to rev her up a little, but with the snow, there was no way I was going to be that daft.

This little van has made it into my top selections when I get the work vehicle!

I think ride superior than Hiace and quality of TD27 is excellent. There is no complaint against TD27. It is sad that hardly anyone knows about these vans. Anyone don;t need the height of the Delica, can easily consider this. Cruising at 120 km with full load, is not an issue at all.

It now has 95 thousand Km. Just did an oil change and I am dropping the price to $6500.

The more I look at this van the more I like it, but to the point re: parts.
It looks like the Homy from 1992 used a 2.7 litre turbo diesel engine called the TD27 or TD27T1, haven't figured that out yet.
There's a TD27 engine manual in English and a fuller Russian manual floating around for download. Google is your guide.
It looks like some of the Nissan Atlas work trucks used the same motor, so potential parts from work/industry I guess.
Nissan Terrano/Pathfinder also appears to have used the same diesel motor for part of it's production. (don't know if diesel pathfinders were sold in North America)
A search turns up Homy's being imported into Australia, so I guess parts could be shipped from there. - they're pretty funky lowered with 18 inch rims in a weird retro way.

The engine is the TD 27i (with the intercooler). It produces about 110 Hp.
The van comes with the printed English factory Nissan TD27 engine manual.
These engines were used in forklifts etc.
Also, it is a pushrod type engine so, no timing belt to break!

Parts are available from several sources. regular maintance items are available from Lordco or Napa.
Brakes, ball joints and some steering components are the same as my Nissan 4x4 truck of the same vintage.
I think that if I end up keeping it I'll put some locking hubs on to save even more fuel when I don't need the 4x4 capability. (Again they're the same as a Pathfinder or Nissan 4-WD truck)

Some of the other items I have found at other JDM dealer/parts places. For instance; I put in 4 new glow plugs in Dec which I bought from Radd cruisers in Duncan and it made all the difference with cold starts! I installed new door hinge pins and bushings on the drivers door.( I bought them from the Nissan dealer here in Nanaimo.)

Lots of parts are available from Maximum overdrive or Japanoid. Rocky Mountain imports is also a great source for parts.

'Think I'll install some auto locking front hubs so the front differential isn't going all the time.

They're the same hubs as a Nissan truck or Pathfinder. (Lots of inexpensive shared parts!)
Who knows, it might be a bit more fuel efficient!

I looked at the specs.

You can easily put a 2-3" inch suspension lift on it with 30-31" tires and it will rival a Delica easily.

Not my cup of tea but I'll bet it can be built up easily and look
