Myself, I'm just curious how he managed to bring '93 models, it hasn't been 15yrs for those yet. Soon but not yet...

considering 2008 cars have been available in dealerships here since mid-summer, I'm hardly surprised...Myself, I'm just curious how he managed to bring '93 models, it hasn't been 15yrs for those yet. Soon but not yet...

Re: New Delicas at Silk Road Autos
Is there anything interesting and/or different about the '93s compared to the '92s?
They look exactly the same from the pictures I've seen...

The Delicas changed August 1991, next change was may 1994 (introduction of the L400)

Re: New Delicas at Silk Road Autos
Date of manufacture and date of first registration are not always the same. So a 1992 November could have been made 6 months prior and then finally purchased in November. 1992 is a 1992 and shouldn't be called a 1993.
Just offering on what it might be, without a chassis number there is no way know fure sure.

Re: New Delicas at Silk Road Autos
Can you convince the car manufacturers of that? because they've been mislabelling vehicles in that way for decades, the 2008 models came out mid summer this year, as the new model years do every year... I personally agree with you that they shouldn't call an august 2007 vehicle 2008, but you and I won't change the minds of every car manufacturer on the planet. So a 1992 November could have been made 6 months prior and then finally purchased in November. 1992 is a 1992 and shouldn't be called a 1993.
If the vehicle was made in 1992 but originally sold as a 1993 vehicle, who are we to criticize the person now re-selling it for stating a fact?

Buyer be ware ,if you look at the pics of the 93 check out the screw driver in the ignition, this may be one of the many little things to this ride.
this is just my personal thought on the matter.

Re: New Delicas at Silk Road Autos
92 nov means 92 not 93 according to icbc, you can not register it as 93.

Re: New Delicas at Silk Road Autos
so you're telling me they haven't registered a single 2008 vehicle yet? I have a hard time believing that....92 nov means 92 not 93 according to icbc, you can not register it as 93.

Re: New Delicas at Silk Road Autos
Acutally, you can if the model year on Form 1 is indicated as 1993 and, in this case, it is noted as such - http://www.silkroadautos.commdrive wrote:92 nov means 92 not 93 according to icbc, you can not register it as 93.

Re: New Delicas at Silk Road Autos
if the mfger declaring as 2008, yes of course. But who we are to declare? On form 1 we all are using first regi date as mfg date even if it is not the production date. so the production date is at least couple months earlier than first regi date.Green1 wrote:so you're telling me they haven't registered a single 2008 vehicle yet? Re: New Delicas at Silk Road Autos
Since there is very little difference between 1992 - 1993 then I guess everyone with a 1992 just gained a year and can call it 1993 when they go to sell it. I think it has already been happening with 1989 - 1990, I see the old school square lights which I believe was a 1989 MFG but listed as 1990. Can anyone confirm when the headlight changed from sealed to projector?
