I just received an Espar Hydronic 3 D5E w/ the install kit. The scant posts I've found about installing them in an L300 are old and have no photos.
Quite a few people have mentioned having them.
Does anyone have pictures of where they mounted the unit, pump, tubing, and tees? I'm new to these heaters and quite frankly my head is spinning. The Dinoevo site has photos but they ripped out all the rear heat and ac equipment. I'm was thinking of mounting it towards the rear where my exhaust use to be.
I could use any help you guys can throw my way.
Thanks
Bob

A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.

Bob, i have a post of installing mine in a L400. I also have a pretty detailed write up of how to install it. Stay calm. I will help you figure it out.javabob wrote:I just received an Espar Hydronic 3 D5E w/ the install kit. The scant posts I've found about installing them in an L300 are old and have no photos.

Felix did a nice job on his L300 back in the glory days when we were modding like mad.

Thanks, your post is the one been most referencing. I think what I need to do is study my cooling and electrical system a little better so I can x-reference the same parts on the L300. The only thing I know right now is that hot water goes in the top of the radiator and cold cooler water comes out the bottom
. as far as electrical goes, I know nothing.
I have also read too many forum posts about installs on other vehicles and have over complicated it in my head.

Hey Bob, I just started a thread to share how I did the install on my L300, I hope it helps avoid some of the headache!
