I never got a trailer and boat, so unfortunately I'll part with my awesome, go anywhere diesel. I'm asking $8999. Vehicle was manufactured July 1991, (Long Wheel Base, a.k.a Mark II style).
Originally fluids were changed when it was imported Nov 06. All routine maintenance done (with records) at CVI Auto, Richmond. I get an actual 22 m.p.g in regular city driving.
-112,000 km, clean body inside & out
-heated leather seats
-power retractable mirrors
-new rubber in Aug 08--Yokoh Geolandar A/T 31x10.5 15
-shift on the fly 4WD (4High, 4Low, 4Low diff lock)
-trailer hitch & electric hook up Class II (3,500 lbs.)

Does it have an assigned BC VIN # attatched to the door pillar some where on the drivers side? Let me know, I have a friend that is out of province looking for a Pajero but his insurance company insists that it has a VIN plate on it.
Cheers,
Neil

Neil,
Yes, the Pajero has a VIN, on driver door pillar, assigned and registered by the importer when it got to BC. This is required, I believe, for insurance purposes as you point out. I don't know of anyone driving an import in BC without a VIN. The Japanese equivalent of VIN is present too.
The importer, Mardy at Amazing Auto Imports, got the vehicle through the inspection; decal is still on windshield, changing a few things (such as replacement headlights that are made in Japan and DOT certified too). I just visited a nearby insurance dealer and paid for ICBC coverage, just like buying any other car.
By the way, is the picture by your signature actually a Mitsi Jeep? The grill has classic good looks. I like the Mitsi pickup. Have you seen one in Canada?
Let me know if you buddy wishes to see any pictures of tires or vehicle details since she is not close by.
cheers,
Cam

Great! They actually stopped issuing assigned vins about a year ago. The don't attach a plate, they change teh Japanese chassis # into the new VIN.
The jeep is actually a Mitsu, they had the license in Asia for Jeeps. It is made to the CJ3-B specs kinda, it is more like the M38 military version as it is a 24V system. I know there acouple guys on this site with Strada's but I have not seen one up close yet.
BTW I PM`ed you with my email address for more pics.
Cheers!

Re: 91 Pajero 2.5L Diesel 112,000 km $8999
I am not getting much response on my Pajero for sale. Any suggestions?
I could get ads in the Buy and Sell. Is there anything you really would want to see on a vehicle you want to purchase (realistically)? roof rack, spare tire cover, GPS??
I know it's not proper protocol to comment and just criticize the crazy amount someone is trying to sell something for, but I'm wondering. I can entertain offers on my asking price--it's not cut stone.
Maybe I can hang onto it and trade up to a newer model Mitsubishi Delica/Pajero with a 2.8 L in a year or two.
