Just a quick hello and sincere thanks to this community! I've been reading the posts diligently in preparation for purchasing my own Deli and the information I've found here has been quality stuff. Due in no small part to your comments I've decided to go the "import a Deli myself" route. I've chatted with the folks at Samurai Garage and they are on the hunt for my new baby.
And finally, it turns out I know at least one of you through a mutual friend....so Breadman, I'll be dropping you a note soon and give Mr. Tzotzos a shot in the arm for me.

Hi ludwigvan -- glad to have you in the forum!
Its likely to be a somewhat quiet weekend on this site, as many have headed up to Harrison/Pemberton for Deli Fest 2007 (I sold my van some time ago, and haven't yet aquired another, so I'm kind of feeling left out!)
Having imported two vehicles from Japan privately myself, I think you will find the process relatively straightforward (I've outlined the key steps at This Thread).
The hardest part, of course, will be the wait...
