Re: PROBLEMS?? PROBLEMS??
Electrics are tricky - and not for someone without experience with these vehicles.
Oil changes and basic maintenance may be ok for many local garages, but I'd recommend CC Autos if you are on the island or CVI Auto in Richmond if in Vancouver for the type of problem you've encountered.
Welcome and good luck.

Re: PROBLEMS?? PROBLEMS??
good advice, however based on the sig I don't think he's anywhere near here...I'd recommend CC Autos if you are on the island or CVI Auto in Richmond if in Vancouver for the type of problem you've encountered.

The L400 model is brand new to Canada, and as such I don't think anyone actually has one yet, certainly not enough to have much experience. However from what I remember reading the UK site the flashing dash light problem is quite common... I don't entirely remember the solution though, it seems to me that it was something along the lines of cycling through the transfer case gears... try putting it in 4Low (make sure the vehicle is in neutral, not drive or park) and drive forward 20-30 metres, then put the vehicle in to 2High and drive backwards the same distance. My lights on the dash are flashing when i put it in 2wd the 2wd and 4wd have been tested and are fine but wont go into 4hlc and 4llc
For any more help your best bet is probably to do a search on http://www.mdocuk.co.uk as they have much more experience with these vehicles.

Re: PROBLEMS?? PROBLEMS??
We have had these (Pajero/Montero) 4x4's in Canada/US since the 1990's that use the same 4x4 as the L400.luckyduck wrote:Hi there just joined the club just brought a delica and having a few problems wondering anybody can help.??? What lights are flashing ?
Rear or the two fronts ?
It's normal to flash when going from 2WD/4WD back and forth.
You may have a hole in the vacuum line or it may even be reversed. Give those two a check.
