left rear lamp cluster for an '89 ??

Post by delicanuck »

Hi gang,

I am such a burk. I busted my left rear tail lamp cluster, (break/turn/reverse) while backing up in the lumber yard. I was distracted by the pathetic job some monster-pickup driver had done with his 700 horsepower behemoth and while opining to myself that if you can't park, you shouldn't drive, I backed into a rogue stack of 5/4 decking.

Yeah so... I need to beg, buy or.... well beg or buy a replacement cluster unit. Anyone have such a thing?

Hmmm..
So my cluster is all " f*cked up "... is that a cluster f*ck?

Hi Adam,

Funny you should mention LEDs because my previous project was exactly that; Switching all the lamps over to LEDs and then sealing of the housings to the body to prevent water intrusion. So... Uhm... You just mean switching the lamps over right? Like, you don't mean that there is a cluster that I can buy as a unit that has LEDs in it... do you?

i wish. maybe there is somewhere but I was not referring to it. I say cut a piece of plywood to the right shape and plop some leds in. THat look would probably work better for frankenstein chamonix than your ride though.

Hi gang

Yep, sure enough, David at Japanoid came up with a lamp cluster for me. The one he had listed on his site was actually sold when I got there but he took one off of his company van for me and so now he's driving around with my busted cluster. If anyone sees him driving around, remember to yell
" Hey buddy! Back into a stack of wood? "
Gee! He's all set up out in New West. Nice shop and lot. Lots of cars and vans and some nice trucks.

Yeah ok so... search is over. Thanks Breadman and Energizer for jogging my memory.

"Busted Cluster" sounds like a band.
