L400 inside tailgate latch

L400 owners
My L300 had a latch inside to open the tailgate. Do any of the L400's have this feature??

TLGF doesn't have a latch, am I being paid back for buying a gasser?? Ha Ha

Isn't that the very special l400 feature not to have one. I guess a soccer mom doesn't want to exit through the tailgate

Yup, it's a gas 2.4 litre space gear exceed. Great vehicle too. Bugs me when I camp, not being able to open the tailgate at night.

I think of it as a bread box rather than a toaster. Ha Ha

There is a mod out there to install an internal tailgate latch for the spacegear. I can't remember if it was on the UK or OZ forums though. I will try to dig it up. It involved the use of a pull string to unlatch the door.

I used a pull cord top and bottom in my L300 to lock and unlock the tailgate. That system would be great in my L400.
