Is the wave dead to L400's

Post by jfpdelica »

While driving to and from Mission to Coquitlam week after week I've noticed that every time I wave to an L400 they appear not even to register that we are in some way connected. Maybe I'm missing something? This isn't a one of, it is simply what appears to be. Every time I make the effort I do it alone. To all that I may have missed I retract all I've said. :?

I've had a number of 400's wave at me and my 300... Lots of times people are focused elsewhere and just don't register when another deli rolls by - and yeah, there are some who don't make the connection even when they do see ya :M

Try driving around in a Pajero.

That being said, I do get a good response for my RHD-wave: there are a number of Saurers, Prados, Hi-Aces, Skylines who wave back when I wave at them.

I think maybe the L400s are just too busy trying to get to soccer practice to be able to wave. :o

I see/get L400 waves a lot.

If they don't its like the others said. Distraction or not seeing you.

If they see you and don't wave they probably have no clue !

I seem to get more waves from other RHD's other than Deli's these days. Pajero's and Safari's, good on ya! Many waves from you folk as I trudge up Kingsway on my way home from work.

I love the waves. If my girlfriend isn't paying attention I make sure she's ready for oncoming Delica, or other RHDs.

It's not her fault, she doesn't have Delicadar the way I do. Or rather a keen sense for any cool car's whereabouts.

I got a wave from a gang of cool looking people in a LWB Land Cruiser Prado in Summerland, BC over he summer. That cross-make wave opened me up to a whole new level of RHD love I had no idea I was capable of.

It's really wonderful. You don't see people in Dodge Caravans waving to each other. Well not with more than one finger.

I almost always wave at *ALL* Delica's in my L400. And I would say I get waved back here in Victoria only about 1/10 times. :o

I wave all the time whenever I see the half dozen 300, 400 and the odd Pajero on the Pat Bay going to and from work in Sidney everyday. Have to admit though it's usually only the 400's that will wave back.

C'est la vie
