Folding camping bed for my L300
I made a short overview video of my folding bed. It is not a blueprint or step by step "how to" it's more artsy and my attempt to capture the Delica lifestyle.
It is on youtube under Mitsubishi L300 folding bed http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZcaDPhkyLp0
Let me know if you want more specific details and I might be able to pm them to you.
Cheers

Great job. I like the idea of the simple joints so the under frame can be taken apart.
Just a suggestioin, what if you put another piano hinge on the large piece of ply near the back of the van - Like the letter Z ?
Then it could all be folded down even smaller and slid/stored along the side of the driver side in the back?
Regardless, nicely done, cool design.

Well done! Now you could always stow some milk crates underneath to organize all your gears and if the crates are too tall for your design... nothing a saw couldn't handle to bring it to the right height!
I see you white water... brings back some good memories!
Cheers,
Mr D.

This looks like a great system ! Where is it that you got the "fly and tent" system that connects to the back ? This is exactly what we are looking for !
Thanks. Bill

I'm not too sure if you got my last message. My login wasn't up to snuff
Anyway, we love what you've done and would like to do the same. What I do need to know is where did you get that "tent thing"
Thanks for all your help.
Cheers, Bill

Re: Folding camping bed for my L300
I got the tent at Bass Pro. It is a SUV tent called Sportz by Napier here is a link to the tent we purchased. http://www.sportzbynapier.com/product.h ... uct_num=57
Apparently they are also available at Costco and cheaper then the listed Bass Pro price, when I pointed that out to the manager they (with some grumbling) matched the price.
It is not lightweight or even as good a quality as a MEC of North Face tent but it has worked just fine so far for us.
