Oil Ccheck in Duncan on Beverly street can cross referrence the fram number ph6355? I think thats the number anyway. I also got a replacement from Duncan Auto parts and it was around 40 bucks.
PS. Duncan Auto parts carries the Stanadyne Fuel Additive.

Hey everyone, with all the emails and such about the group buy for filters I bought two cases of oil filters, $35each or 2 for $60 taxes included. but only a couple people showed up for the filters. SOOOO if more people that wanted them let me know if you still want them, that would be great. Also for diesel additive, you dont really want Anti-Jell in the summer, not until below 0 , actually not until around -15. but some places dont have much for selection.

I just picked up a single FRAM PH6355 (made in South Africa) from lordco yesterday for $30 + taxes but I also got them to order in a K&N HP-3001, supposed to be $12, but if the fram is supposed to be bad at $30, I dunno about a $12 filter, although if it's good, then all the better. Anyone know about them?

about 2 weeks ago i went to maxoverdrive and got a fuel,air and oil filter all for 60 bucks?i thought that was pretty good,today i got the oil and the filter grabber tool(i dont know what its called)and tomarrow ill do the change,first one so hopfully it goes over well.

I've been getting oil filters from NAPA, #1067, about $33. Has worked fine so far. Does anyone know a reason I shouldn't use these?

depends on if its that no name filter or what brand it is, I sell the fram filter for the delica
2/$60 tax included or $35 each tax included. but if you can get it for 33 tax in, then load up.
be carefull , ive seen alot of junk filters floating around all of a sudden, I have the 10000km oil filter for the Delica , but its $45.
Im not trying to sell in this post, just letting you know some variety available.

I tried and the threads just aint right, now I use frams, cross referenced from a napa 1067.

I've been using the WIX 51067 filters, they are great, and about the $35 mark as well.

The Luber-finer LFP-805 has cost $24 in the past, was charged $29 once, and was charged just $22 this month. All from the same store.

With these seemingly cheaper prices, was doesn't any else use them? Someone heard something bad about them, or can they not be found.

I'm using Napa #1067 for $32. Its made by WIX and I recall reading on this forum that it was a good one. I was told that if I order 5 I can get them for $25 each.

I asked for the LFP805 at Lordco and they handed me the Fram PH6355, I also asked for the k&n HP-3001 but they had to order it in, and apparently isn't the right filter anyways since it would have crossed back to the PH6355 if it was. Where are you getting yours from?

And I have another question. How do I tell the difference between a good and bad filter? So far I've just found one that fits and changed the oil and filter every 5000. The oil is always black, even shortly after a change, so I don't know what to look for.

Their pricing is ridiculous, I use a friend's account when I go in, and pay for it at the desk. It often save 40% or more and it doesn't cost him anything for me to use it. Not sure what the reasoning is other than they like to hose the people not in the industry. I'd suggest finding someone with an account and using their name.

Lordco is really annoying with their pricing, basically it comes down to knowing what the price really is for a part and telling them that's what you expect to pay for it, or that you were told it would cost this much on the phone and they'll sell it to you for that price. If you just walk in and ask for the part with no account they'll just charge you some price between the minimum and maximum that comes up on their screen.

Oil in a diesel will always be black due to soot from combustion, but you can clean the engine with some ATF right before changing your oil and filter and it won't be as black, temporarily.
