Saw better color combo for sure, the full white one was nice but even nicer was the beige "sand" one, a perfect match for it's "Safari" name!

By the way many Landcruiser guys with the same problem (12v vs 24v) installed a second alternator.

Just to answer a few questions, yes they are used by NATO, Peace Keeper, UN... these are pricier than either of the Delica but they are known to be bulletproof so I didn't mind paying more. And it's got a very strong frame with already a bunch of armor plates for tranny, T-case...

There's less support in Canada than the Delica (more rare) and the Canadian Nissan Safari forum isn't as active as this one but Nissan dealership can order any parts and they don't charge shipping. It's still often worth looking for aftermarket though (Rocky Mountain or Australia shops where they are common). Regardless, my initial servicing was a lot less compared to a Delica so all in all it all equals down the road.

As for 24V I don't see it being a problem, maybe a new challenge but with benefits as well (so easy to start!). I have a 24AC/12AC converter that came with it so that will take care of most 12V needs.

This one has a few extras; It's a 7 passenger with optional rear A/C and beer cooler. (In my Delica the cooler was right by my feet, this one is at the back... less temptation while driving!). It also has a heated fuel filter and rear lockers.

It's center of gravity is lower than the Delica and it's foot print wider. Add coils at all corners and it make for a very stable and comfortable ride. I think it's about 6'6" tall and it's fricking heavy!

just thinking it might be cool to get a part number for the heated filter housing to see if it might be usable as an add on WVO filter for conversion.....

when i drove my '87 nissan diesel pickup, the dealership in Courtenay would order parts from Japan for me. they usually came pretty quick.

nice 4x4. I used to drive one of this in Kenya in 1995. similar shape, but is nissan patrol. Very good offroad capacity, and it is 7 seaters.

Pope-mobile?!? Lucky pope! I was also told before it looks like a hearse. Hey, if hearses looked like this I'd be looking forward to my "last" trip!

Just started my first mod last night and drilled my first hole in the truck, ya man! Installed a DC-DC converter to run 12v out of the 24v system and brought that 12v power into a secondary fuse block, should make running all 12v accessories much easier and cleaner. (Ask Jay what happens when you short your tools on a 24v system! )
