90 L300 Super Exceed duel tanks?

Post by Dawg »

It looks that I have two tanks on my Deli. If so, where would my manual tank switch be? Any other info would be appreciated.

Cheers,

I was noticing that. it appears they act in tandem, ie 1 fills 2, no tank switch over that I can see.

there is no tank switch, it's simply 2 tanks with a pipe between them, both fill together, and I believe drain together as well (though some have talked about the main tank draining before the smaller tank?) basically it's extra capacity rather than a reserve tank... (though I don't know that I'd qualify 60-65L as "extra")

I think you'll find that the Autos have twin tanks & the manual has a single.

It has to do with the positions of the transfer case but both hold the same amount

I holed my front tank recently and had to fix it.

First I thought I could by-pass the front tank and just run from the rear. However, the front tank pulls fuel throughthe system from the back and feeds the injector pump off the top.

In the end I had to drain the tanks remove the front and repair the hole with PETRO PATCH.

I don't know if you guys have that product in Canada but I can recommend it if you can get it. It took an overnight drying to fully cure but has shown no signs of a leak since.

Hope this helps.
Cheers!
