Hello All!
I'd like to inspect a Deli before I decided to buy hust to make sure that everything works.
I called Shinjo in Abbotsford but they're to busy.
Can anyone recommend a good mechanic that does pre-buy checks in Van, Bbby or Surrey?
Thanks a lot
Skarpetka

How about in North Van?
Hello Skarpetka
RJD Services in North Vancouver can do an inspection, 604 986-8586. So Can CrownTech Automotive, also in North Van, 604 980-9489. In fact, CrownTech is one of the Provincial inspection shops. Depending on who you bought it from, CrownTech may already have seen your car. Neither of these guys will go to the car, you have to take the car to them. I don't expect either of them would be cheap but probably cheaper than buying a lemon. ( I've never seen a yellow Delica.)
Of course, there's always BCAA and they will come to the car. They are somewhat limited in what they can investigate on site but the guys who do the inspections have made a career out of doing those inspections and if you are a BCAA member then they don't really have a choice about standing behind their work because your going to be calling them at 3 in the morning from the side of a road somewhere. Make sure you tell them its RHD before you order an inspection!
If you are downtown somewhere, you might want to call Tremblay Motors. They are arguably the best bunch of mechanics in town. They aren't cheap but they are honest and will only fix broken things. http://www.tremblaymotors.com/
It makes sense to me that one dealer wouldn't want to do an inspection on another dealer's car. There would be an inherent conflict of interest, both in and after the act. That is probably why Shinji declined to inspect your car. Better to get an inspection from someone who would also like to make a new customer.
BTW. Shinji will do repairs to any Delica, any car really. Absolutly honest, Absolutely meticulous. Absolutely not the cheapest but you get what you pay for.
