Re: 90 Pajero with a broken rocker shaft

Timing might have jumped, it's an interference engine so pistons and valves will make contact. The rocker shafts seems to be the weak link in the head, save other components. Honestly, it would be beneficial to pull it apart and check the timing first and then pull the head for inspection.

Re: Burning coolant and bit of oil : Head?

I've had my 2.5 for 2 1/2 years. No head gaskets/heads yet. 310,000kms..

And I run much boost/fuel lol.
I think it has to do with owner operation.

Re: 3 in 1 glowshift gauges

Pretty much all these gauges are Chinese made.. I've run both Glowshift and Auber in two separate Pajero's. The glowshift's are difficult to read with the bulbing face, and the boost gauge does not read properly thanks to altitude. I contacted the dealer about this issue and basically got a "po...

I ran a set of those gauges in my Oz Paj. They work a treat for the price!

Now I need a transmission flush, and a few other bugs sorted...This thing has high EGT's so I'll need to look into that.

Re: Wheel bearing question

Looks exactly like mine when I pulled it all apart. I just re-packed the bearings and gave everything a good greasing...No worries!

Re: Pajero MAnual Button mod PLEASE HELP

I would throw a volt meter on at the buzz bar end of the wiring. Disconnect it so your plugs aren't receiving any power and hit the switch. Monitor how long the wire is getting power for. You should be able to leave that switch on all day and have constant power. I've got a 2.5 with the same 6.2V pl...

Yeah, the little badge says "Japanese Automotive Federation" like a plaque. I've seen a few imported MKI's around here with the same badge.

87' Pajero - Straya'

Well I picked this beaut' up for 1800 bucks, she's a non-intercooled 2.5 auto imported from Japan to Australia (weird, I know!). Requires a head gasket. Other than that, a solid unit! http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d33/James361/Resized1_zps72550106.jpg http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d33/James3...

Is it the audio, or does it really make that much of a racket?
I second a leak-down test.

Re: Delca/Pajero oil filter cross reference

Also a note, Inspect threads when cross referencing filters! I had a filter that was *identical* to the BD28 and when it came to install, it would not screw without cross threading or binding... :?

Re: Delca/Pajero oil filter cross reference

I've been running BD28's for a while. Only problem is I used to order from Acklands @ 35/piece, but now they won't order any more for me unless I purchase 12 lol.
