Left signal stuck on
On my 98 I had a "similar" problem. In a very tired state I tried to put my van into drive using the wiper stalk. Oops. I found out there are three or four different wiper mechanism you may have. I also had the three pieces of broken plastic. The important one was a little toggle you'll ne...

What to do post Delica?
Great ideas.... Except.... I still end up in the same situation. A "new" 15 year old car that's ready for collectors plates in 10 years. My wife wants us to get newer to avoid the peculiarities associated with older metal. For what it's worth. I'm all over the D5☺

What to do post Delica?
After 5 years of Delica awesomeness and about 12 of RHD, the time might be approaching to look at something a bit newer. (I really don't feel like changing out any more heater cores.) The problem is, as you well know, there is really nothing out there to truly replace the almighty van. I've done som...

Winter tires
I have the Grabbers as my summers. They are OK in snow, but I have Hankook Winter i Pike as winters. There is truly no comparison. The reason I got the Grabbers as summers is the reason (I feel) that they don't make good winters; longer lasting, harder rubber. The Hankooks have much softer rubber, d...

Re: while I have the front end off....
Is that just a plug and play type affair, or do I need to wire in some sort of thermostatically controlled switch? Would the fan be a generic Princess Auto piece, or something a bit more specific? I have had the transmission get hot on me on a couple of long off-road climbs.

while I have the front end off....
Will be replacing both of the AC fans on my 98 gasser, and will have most of the front end off to get at them. Suggestions of other things I should do while I'm in there?

battery options?
Time for a new battery. 98 gas L400 auto. Now for the fun part. Someone in the house (no finger pointing) has a tendency to leave head lights on, interior lights on and or doors ajar. This had lead to at least 4 or 5 total discharges, and subsiquently notable decreased battery power. Happen to have ...

Re: Spare Keys
I went to a Home Hardware. They had no Mitsu keys at all, and very patiently went through tha whole rack looking for a match. If i remember correctly the key blank that fit was actually for an older Hyundai. Hope this helps.

Re: gen 2 power step problem
Thanks for the tutorial. Problem is mine looks like this. Sorry about the blurriness, it was taken at dusk in the rain holding a squirmy two year old. The most extended black area depresses upon contact, plus the middle three contacts each are able to depress individually. Some portion controls the ...

Re: gen 2 power step problem
Oh joy! My wife and children will thank you if you have insight into helping me fix this. Believe it or not, they don't enjoy the step sporadically moving in and out.

Re: gen 2 power step problem
Well, winter retuned, and so did the problem. Absolutely electric issue....but with a new twist. When the step chooses to retract, the dome light is off. When it chooses to extend, the dome light is on. Fair enough. I figured that part out last time. Now the fun part. If the back hatch is open, (whic...

gen 2 power step problem
Last winter my power step stopped working...tracked it down to a VERY dry bushing that needed lube. Now again it is being tempermental. Not coming out, coming out after a minute of open door or not closing until a few seconds after the door has closed. Pretty sure this time its electrical issues as ...

Interesting that they are all being worked on. Where did the kids get the idea for that?
