Sliding door window glass falling out repair

I just tried removing that trim on my L400 as a part of repairing the sliding door rollers and the door latch. I too broke a few tabs. They are made from a very brittle plastic which over the years has only become more brittle. I suggest trying to spray some silicon lubricant in the general directio...

L300 snorkel interest?

Interesting posts. I'd like to see some hard numbers on any power changes with the snorkel fitted. I am dubious it makes any measurable difference. I am also doubt it makes any difference to the dust intake unless you are traveling in convoy and close to the vehicle in front of you. I am thinking ab...

FIXED: Sliding Door is not latching. What is the purpose of that motor?

Can you perhaps give me some insight as to how you removed the sliding door trim?

Removing Sliding door Interior Trim (Scary)

Hi folk, The link to pictures in this post is not valid. Can anyone point me to a manual picture (The one I have doesn't seem to show the sliding door) of the door and how to get the trim off with the minimum risk of breaking stuff. I have taken trim off many times before and know that I may get luc...

Electrical burning smell when heater is on

Mine was cracked too, but I do not think that had anything to do with it. It is very unlikely that fluid got into the controller.

The control of that servo happens all the time, not just when you need heat so it could be the problem. Mine did not blow right away either. It took a few months.

Electrical burning smell when heater is on

I didn't have any issues with the blower so I am not sure. Not even sure exactly where it is. I could hear it blowing in the front though. I wasn't paying attention to it. Someone else will know. Also look at the manuals that are listed on this site. That may show you where it is. Certainly check th...

L400 rear window antenna

It is definitely an antenna. While working on another problem, I found a cable that looks like a normal radio antenna connector only smaller. It leads off to the left of the dashboard. When I plug it into my radio (have to hold it in place because it is too small) it gives good reception. At some st...

Electrical burning smell when heater is on

Found the servo. It is in the center of the dash at the very bottom of everything. A little rectangular black box with a small metal frame attached to it and a control arm that adjusts the mix of cold/hot air. I had to remove all the lower trim starting at the drivers side to get to it. When I remov...

Electrical burning smell when heater is on

So the display is fixed. Replaced the 2SA1307 PNP transistor (I don't think it was blown) with a TIP32C (It was all the local hobby shop had). I also added a heatsink to the transistor. There is a 1 ohm or 100ohm resistor (couldn't read it because it was burnt) in series with the emitter (pin3) It h...

L300 snorkel interest?

Guys, other than fyording through 6 feet deep water, what is the use of a snorkel? I have always wondered, because I have designed automotive controllers and gauges and I can tell you that the spec for a military vehicle that can be submerged and those for a Mitsubishi Delica are quite different. Su...

Yes it is. Mine is also an Exceed. I am pretty certain it is not a heater. A heater needs to run from one thick wire to another. This does not. It is an antenna.

Does your car have another antenna? Perhaps this one is for an alarm or something.

L400 rear window antenna

My 95 L400 seems to have an antenna built into one of the rear passenger windows.

Does anyone know what it is used for? Was it originally for the radio? My radio has an external antenna that seems to be aftermarket.
