coolant leak
Hey guys, so I'm driving out of town for work and I stop 3 hrs from home at a & w and I notice after parking it for 5 minutes I noticed a good amount of coolant leaking down around the driver side engine mount. To investigate I pulled off the turbo intake hose, the PS pump, and belly pan. I chec...

Re: heater core hoses
Are they hard to access? Or will I have to remove a million things to get to them? I'm hoping this will be a quick driveway job

I will be replacing both the lines this weekend and was looking for some advice if needed. from a quick look in the engine compartment I could not see how far back the hose...

Re: timing belt/injection pump question
I read in a manual it usually moves back a small amount. I changed all front engine seals, tensionerd and balance belt. Also did water pump and thermostat. Definetly was a learning experience.

Re: timing belt/injection pump question
Well after talking to a mechanic at my work I have found out it could be from the van being in a warm heated garage now and the diesel expanding in the pump. However with it having resistance moving it backwards, can I move it forwards and still keep the timing right? I know some of these diesel IPs...

timing belt/injection pump question
So I will start off by saying I have never changed a timing belt. however I have found everything fairly simple and straight forward so far. I am definetly happy that I am changing it as the crank seal was leaking oil onto the belt, and the belt was already cracking. my question is this: yesterday I...

Re: transmission swap...from one van to another...?
as far as I know the transmissions are all the same 89 - 97 I believe. it should drop right in (I know, easier said than done). however I would call one of the reputable shops and ask the mechanics, coombs is always a trusted source for myself for these inquiries.
good luck!

Re: New purchase '92 L300, temp gauge not working?
I also agree. I have been plagued with bad temp sender unit before, on multiple vehicles. both were on 20+ year old JDM vehicles. and ill also vouch for checking the radiator for calcification. mine was severly plugged when I got it, as most are from japan. its always good for preventative maintenen...

Re: left cv removal
Okay easy enough. I will order it tomorrow. So you replace the seal inside and gently use the axle to press it in the rest of the way?
Im getting sick of looking at these axles lately
