I did/ had these done in the spring on my 91, the tie rods is easy, the upper balljoints arent too hard, but the lowers you cannot do without removing the cv's, was a pain, and I couldnt do it on my own, had that done in the shop

well, I spent tues-wed-thurs trying to replace the old balljoints, shocks, brakes, oil change and egr blockoff, and only managed to change driver's upper balljoint and shock, and install the egr and oil change, now she's in the shop to do the rest of the work I couldnt complete

while I am new to the delica world, my last diesel, a 94 Toyota Hilux surf ( 4runner) with the 3 liter turbo, outperformed the gas variant in mileage, power, ect. I didnt have a smoky problem with it, diesel odour from the exhaust was minimal ( and it was short exhaust off the turbo with a magnaflow...

yeah, they tend to be busy, but they do good work ( never had any problems when I was taking my surf there) and its a lot of repeat business, so they must be doing something right to keep the business

I think it did, it was lightly covered in snow, so had been sitting for awhile, parked in the little business center, but it did have the delica.ca sticker on it

the quote you got from them sounds about right, when I had the timing belt done on my surf, it ran @1200, as I had a spare injector pump put in ( the original was leaking) , but they did the belts and everything
