Have both, don't really use them. My L400 2nd Gen doesn't really need the choke. Albeit this winter hasn't really been that cold so I haven't had much use for it... As for the air flap, no, not really... I don't really see much point in playing with it much as it doesn't make too much of a differenc...

I have and still drive both... The difference is night and day for sound. Ride and everything is more pleasant as well. As for power, my L300 struggled up most hills... the L400 made it up with ease and no smoke to boot~ I suggest you go with diesel though if you are concerned for power. The L400 V6...

The bench seats and the captains chairs aren't interchangeable. There are different rails on the bottom. I have captain's chairs in both my L300 and L400 (2nd Gen).
