good-bye
Good-bye delica hello yard goat. No more wild adventures with kids, camping, open roads, etc. Unless some other poor soul has had thier own difficulties and buys all the parts at a reasonable price, then it is now a life of hard labour on the farm. The rear end swings around pretty fast on icy roads...

Re: 91 L300 Star Wagon for parts or project available
I heard about your problem maybe a little late to help, but I've had a problem like this before. When you flopped it on its side and it sat for a while, the oil will leak into the cylinders past the rings from the inverted oilpan. If you remove the injectors and pump/clean out the oil, put the injec...

Re: Opinions of Japan auto inc. abbotsford
We bought our van there 2 years ago and are very pleased with all thier service (a little pricey but very good). He is knowledgable and they like to keep thier customers happy.

EASY Wet Foot Fix
I have found a brilliant way to solve some of the wet foot issues that I (all of us) have been having. I was going to pull both panels and dive into the silicone tub to fix this but then as I was crawling around under the dash for other reasons I noticed some drips. The center plastic cover with the...

Re: Clutch Release Bearing
I don't have a part # but the block, flywheel, clutch, etc. are the same part#s as a 1985 Dodge Ram D50 pickup. The engine # from the Dodge is a 4D55 and ours is a 4D56, same block, etc but different head, turbo, etc.
I researched it out for my L300.
Hope this helps.

Re: What's worse, ICBC or Canadian Direct?
I never get optional coverage due to the fact that: one, you pay more each year. and two, if you endup causing your own fender bender and want to claim against yourself to get it fixed, you end up paying through the nose for the next ten years as your premiums will go up. I find it is cheaper in the...

Re: Gas in the Diesel Tank.....always a smart move
In my opinion the dillution solution will work due to the little amount that was put in the tank. Don't hold me responsible for anything, but I feel confident in my opinion.
Cheers.

Re: I think my Deli just died...
If I could diagnose a problem online or over the phone I'd be a millionaire. By the look of the picture those are the drive belts for the alternator and water pump. I would take off the belts and make sure the alternator is spinning free. It sounds like you've blown and alt bearing. If it is a water...

Re: Squeak from front end
strada-caster, this is a common squeak from many Japanese 4x4s. From the factory there is a hard plastic cover over the bolt that eventually wears out and then rubs metel on metal when turned hard and then over a bump. I have never heard of someone replacing it. You may want to try a Toyota or Nissa...

Re: pooped rad hose
Now that we figured out the Dayco part number it should be easy for a local supplier to find one.
It will be nice in a few years when we have all the part numbers crossed over to this continent.
No I'm not volunteering to do the ominous task.

Re: pooped rad hose
Yes, thank you for the concern. I was a little worried at first but I did all the appropriate tests and it is just a faulty hose. I will be doing the timing belts/tensioners/water pump/rad,etc. this summer.
I was just forwarding the Lordco part number with a long winded write up.
