Re: Starting troubles...
Yep deffo the Battery (or a battery problem of somekind i.e. terminals) in my opinion. I had exactly the same problem when my 2 and a half year old daughter left one of the roof map reading lights on whilst playing and car was parked for 4 days before my son noticed the dull glow comming from the bu...

Re: Squealing when cold?
Most L300 squeals are belt related and most common one to go is the Alternator belt, it can be retentioned easily enough (or belt replaced if old) but its a real pig to get too to adjust. Sometimes the alternator itself becomes loose from the mounting bolts and they need retightening. Both myself an...

Re: Burning Rubber?
Have you checked your front brake calipers are not siezed? Might need new sliding pins/caliper seals replacing.
See if your hubs are hot when you are getting the burning smell (this would also account for your high MPG).

Tyre size to Alloy size safety question
I have a set of j15 6jj 33 mark2 shogun alloys that came pre fitted with 31 10.5 r15 A/T tyres on. http://i647.photobucket.com/albums/uu199/BFG_01/Wheels-1.jpg I read somewhere that 31/10.5/r15's are too wide to fit 6" rims properly and can pop off when cornering!. Ive checked for writing on my...

Re: Ran into problems reindexing my torsion bars....
Managed to sort it out earlier today, I removed bump stops 1st (even though they were cut down to 40% size), jacked deli alot higher than I did 1st time, dropped onto stands and removed the jack, took wheels off and undid the torsion bar lock nut and adjuster bolt all the way off and straight away I...

L300 Torsion bar reindexing...
This is what ive gleaned so far on reindexing my front torsion bars on my L300 as passenger side is adjusted to the max and I need a bit more for my 2" lift... Jack the Deli up and put on Axel stands Remove the nuts on the tbar adjustment threads completely. Make a tipex mark on the Tbar rubber...

Re: Incorrect Temperature Reading on "Delica Thermometer"
If you look below your steering wheel on the plastic roughly where your knees would be,theres a small 1cmX1cm metal plate clipped on. This is the Thermistor that registers the Internal temperature. When mine went I unclipped the metal plate, scraped off the glue substance that was holding the old th...
