Re: A few brake questions
Thanks! Seized caliper replaced and backed off the valve a little....the adjustment was all the way tight so I'm guessing slacking it off a little will help.

Re: A few brake questions
Funny....I was going to post a question similar to this topic. I am onto my 3rd rear brake job! I am assuming that the rear brake compensator is messed up because of the lift. The last time I checked things I looked for it but couldn't find it. Can someone out there describe where the rear brake com...

Definitely a good gauge of how good we have things in our part of the world if this thread is getting any reads/comments. Put this in the North American major problem/issue category.

Re: HID Headlights, step by step
I'm wondering if going with a cheaper HID system or any HID system is the best idea for your use. Aren't you going on some big trip in your van? What happens when you have this HID system in place and it stops working, which I remember seeing when I looked into doing this for my old L300. Wouldn't i...

Re: Highroof / Pop top / int/ext camper conversions (list)
Ha! Good eye. Isn't on the right way but opening backwards? The spoiler is on the back but they must have order the "open high at the front" model versus the "open high at the back"...oops! Maybe the person that ordered it was very tall and needed more head room while driving...t...

Re: Custom L400 Rear Bumper - Complete
Here are a few other pictures of the bumper at various stages. I'll have to crawl underneath tomorrow and take a couple photos of the attachment point. I know I posted some of these in the What did you do to your Delica post, but I was asked to finish this one off to help people searching. Here we g...

Re: What did you do TO your Delica today?
Bumper is finished...well mostly! L400-1.jpg L400-2.jpg L400-3.jpg L400-4.jpg L400-6.jpg Couple things to do: 1. Get the license plate on there. I'm going to attach it to the tube that the spare tire mounts onto. 2. Finish up trimming a little of the back side panels so they have a little relief on ...

Re: Custom Rear Bumper - Need your input
It swings 180 degrees to the right. If it swung from the left it would stick out onto the road, which I don't think would be great either.
There are pros and cons for each side. Can't change it now anyway.

Sneak Peak 2 - The swing out tire carrier goes on Saturday. Then a quick trim of the old plastic bumper and we are done!
...added some extra bad ass with some black rims.
(maybe need a little black paint for the hubs)

Re: Custom Rear Bumper - Sneak Peak
Decided to go the more expensive route...remove old bumper and have new one made with receiver hitch and swing out tire carrier. This is the opening side.
It should be done in the next couple days. Very impressive to see what someone can do who does this sort of thing for a living.
