Door seals

Post by knight »

Anyone know if you can get new doors deals? I have a bad wind whistle on the highway and I can see the door buffeting in the wind.
I would rather wear out then rust away.

I have the same whistle from about 80kph and up coming from the drivers side door.

I put petrolium jelly on the door seal and it has definatly help quiet the whistle, give that a try for the time being. Your issue sounds slightly more serious than mine though, I can't see any door movement.

Good luck, if you find replacent door seals let us know!

I have a similar issue with the doors moving. It is caused by the doors sagging. I was able to correct it by re-aligning the doors. You have to pull off the little "fender" pieces to access the bolts for the top door hinges. If you try this, make sure you have some around to help. The door are surprising heavy. I have a few pictures on my phone. I will post them, if can get them off the phone.

Call a U.S. Mitsubishi dealer, ask for the door seals for a 1990 Mitsubishi van/wagon, get the part # from them, order through your local Canadian Mitsubishi dealer. Please post the # when you get it.

Which seals are for the lower rubber outside passenger/drivers windows? The upper window channels of passenger/drivers windows? And the lower inside fabric lined passenger/driver window seal?
