2nd best is http://www.js-filter.com/catalogue/filter/28795/C306J

One thing I've learned you have to watch out for is the threads. There is a 4D56 engine made by Hyundai that takes a filter with M20x1.5, but the Mitsubishi 4D56 needs M26x1.5 threads.

Surely with all these parts available, we must be able to find decent quality filters at a reasonable price. Any suggestions?

I always ordered a 6 pack of BALDWIN BD28
and the price was $17ish each from the big rig store.
Great filters.

My filter for the L400 is a bit more expensive but
still a good Baldwin.

Hello,
do you have a website address for the big rig store. I'm in Ontario, I can't find the Baldwin filters here and every store here tells me they can get me a fram or wix for 37$ to 49$. Crazy expensive.

L300 4D56 Oil Filter Cross References

They are called 'custom truck' in Saskatoon. I think 'first filter' in Saskatoon has them as well for a bit more.
I would suggest looking for a place that carries baldwin filters and ask them to order them for you.
Mine would take a couple weeks then I would split the 6 up to a couple other owners.
With the L400 I just order 2 at a time from First filter.

To find a baldwin dealer in your area go here:
http://www.baldwinfilter.com/distributorlocator.html

when you put in your postal code make sure to put in a space
no space will create an error

ie. S7E 4Y9 good
S7E4Y9 bad

I just love researching deals on the net.... So today I took the part number off the oil filter I've been using. It's: Hyundi 26330 4X000. So I researched that for a while and Came up with this list of supposed cross reference-ing filters. Do y'all think this is possibly correct?

L300. Yep, been quite a while no problems. I did some phone searching for baldwin bd28 filters. Found them for a good price in Kamloops 18/a filter at Peterbuilt, but I think i may have to buy 12. Anyone in the Kamloops/Salmon arm area that wants to go in on a pack?

Hi Jedidiahwiebe:
I used to get Baldwin filters @ Peterbuilt and only needed to get 1 @ a time. They need to order them in but was usually overnight. I don't use them anymore as I couldn't get the last few to stop leaking. I think something has changed with them - maybe now made in China like their fuel filters.

This is absolutely wrong, both exclusive Hyundai and Mitsubishi 4D56 engines need same thread oil filters.

Hi Jed,
How are you?

Don’t worry about your current oil filters as you have used best oil filter in town.
its import cost is $10-12 each, but I got quote for all other aftermarket oil filters ( currently available from delica importers and shops ) between $3-$4 each. :o
I just have refused to import others due to bad quality.

So you have used best oil filter with affordable price! :-D

Hey Steven,
I'm doing very well. Other than that my deli is stuck up a logging road tonight with a broken off radiator drain plug. Otherwise very good.

I've pretty much given up on finding a better deal on oil filters than buying from you. These filters are costly no matter where you shop!

For those in Ontario, Baldwin filters (BD 28) are available at Peterbilt Ontario truck centres.

http://www.peteaccess.com/

They have about 8 stores in the province. I had to order the filters, about 2 weeks to come & they'll deliver to your door. $ 20.24 each. as of today.
