How to Prop the "hood" up

Does your Mitsubishi L300 make a strange noise? Need wheel alignment specs?

How to Prop the "hood" up

Post by Manitoba Delica »

AmI missing something?? I can see no easy way to prop the passneger seat up, without wedging an object( a 2' level in my shop). There surely is some way of propping it up that I am not seeing.

Look next to where the passenger seatbelt hangs on the 'B' pillar - there should be a small strap that hooks around a metal catch/hook on the base of the seat when it is tipped back.

If you can't find it, let me know and I'll get a photo to show you....

Where it attaches on the hood when it is raised should be pretty obvious, it looks like a cleat. Note that you can hook at the end of the strap, or raise the hood even higher and hook part way up the strap. Depends on space needed.

Another weird stumble you may have is if the seat is too upright it hits the ceiling and the hood doesn't open much.

Also, if you have the Captain's chairs in the rear, make sure the one behind the passenger seat is facing forward and pushed back, otherwise it interferes with the 'hood' as well (read: the chair on top of the 'hood').

You should really keep that in your Hot/Cool Box, much better seal and humidity control.

And, if you put it in the ice cube tray and a tin of Alpo in the cool box, the fuzz has an even harder time finding it and the dog goes crazy for the Alpo.

Course, if you smoke it fast enough, you don't have to worry about storing it. :?

Spoken like a true Langfordite!

Mararmeisto, is there a pic of your Delica on this site so I will recognize it whence I see it? I'm in Colwood.

Finally, I find the culprit responsible for giving me whiplash!!! About three weeks ago we were driving through downtown Sidney & I spotted the Moon Machine (at least I think it was the Moon Machine?) & cranked my neck for a better look! I hadn't yet picked up my Delica yet, so I was still quite ravenous! (kinda like being trapped on a desert island with no women, then when you spot one...) It's the closest resemblance to mine that I have seen to date. I especially like the rack & of course the Mitsu-Maple. Very nice ride!
