Hi Pat, drinking is a group decision, but in moderation is fine I'd say.
The point of the weekend is Driving and Exploring side roads, and if you hurt your Delica due to drinking, then the Delica Protection Society might take away your new toy. If you hurt yourself whilst hurting the Delica, we'll leave you behind while we look after the Delica (gotta prioritize the injured). If you follow Adrock on the road he wants to check out over the river (see the video that Coaxial posted) you'll need sharp reflexes to not tip over.
What time are you arriving? A couple of deli's are leaving 9:30 / 10 am from Burnaby to stake a claim to a campsite, more deli's welcome to help set up campsite.
Everyone Note: There is no firewood there, nor dry deadwood, so bring TONS of dry wood with you to sit round the campfire.
Cheers, Christine.

Re: Friday March 28th-Sunday March 30th Harrison FSR Round Deux
Hi Pat, If you want to convoy at 5:00 / 5:30 pm that would be good timing for you.
Falco (Paul), is leaving North Van Lonsdale about 5pm, stopping at our house in Burnaby by Gaglardi Freeway exit about 5:30 pm to pick up Jay (TardisDeli) as I will have the delica with me at Harrison.
Jay's cell 604-961-1390, tell him where you are lost in The BIG City, and he will tell you where to go (politely) so you can travel together.
Pedro and TardisDeli leaving at 9:30/10am form Burnaby if anyone else wants to join. Jay's cell 604-961-1390, tell him where you are lost in The BIG City, and he will tell you where to go (politely) so you can travel together.
Any one else want to arrange convoy times ???
Cheers, Christine.

I should be ready in time to join the 5:30ish convoy. I will get in touch.
I noticed a farm on HWY 7 last weekend that had a firewood for sale sign.....
Motorcycle trailer!!! aww too bad my bike has street tires
And I'll have some beer and wine and some sort of mechanism so I can use the lake as a fridge :) or maybe considering the temperature I'll have hot chocolate & jagermeister

always need something to keep you warm by the campfire. Who knows, we might be able to get through to the hot springs this weekend, we might not be able to get as far... crazy hail storm.
Thanks for putting the details out there Christine, I would have left it longer and we for sure would have lost people because of it. This will be a great trip. Hopefully i will only have to work a half day, we have deadlines to meet this week though so i can't get the whole day off.

we will make a good attempt at getting farther anyways :)
I have a feeling there will be new snow up there
Someone should bring a good air compressor, mine is pretty lame. I'd like to experiment with airing down tires.

Remember to bring chairs for sitting round the campfire. I'm cutting wood now to bring. Christine.

Re: Friday March 28th-Sunday March 30th Harrison FSR Round Deux
OK all Deli ists, so here's the update. Yes, Adrock's Adventure is ON ! Thanks to him for organizing this.
So far 7 delis' confirmed. Room for more at the campsite. Watch for various Red with white border Mitsu Maples on stakes on the right side of the road, at about the height of the yellow front marker lights below your headlights.
FRS Family Radio's use 5:22 channel (I will be monitoring at all times).
Jay (Tardis) on Cell 604-961-1390
cell Christine 604-314-7438,
but cell service on Harrison road is sporadic.
10am the first convoy leaves. TardisDeli (Christine) and Pedro Deli (Pierre) leave TardisDeli's home in Burnaby. I have baked dozens of oatmeal cookies, have lots of firewood, & big tarps for the campsite. BYO milk crates if you don't have chairs. No water taps, but lake is yards away (boil or treat first).
5:30 pm the 2nd convoy leaves Burnaby (again from Tardis Deli's home). Falco will give Jay a ride. Other Deli's are Frisch, and hopefully Patty and Coaxial.
Adrock's not sure what time he gets off work.
Delicat will meet us there for Friday only.
Trip last weekend took 2 hours from Burnaby to the Harrison Road Turnoff (Sasquatch Inn) in quiet traffic, so Friday rush hour might take more. Preferred route is Highway 1 to Abbotsford, exit to Highway 11, North to Mission. Fuel at Abbotsford in on the North Side (Near all the fast food places. The Husky is at the far end on the left, 5 to 10 cents a litre cheaper than vancouver last weekend. Or fuel in Mission, in fact there is diesel at every little fuel stop along the road. There is diesel in Harrison, but our turnoff to the Harrison WEst Forestry Road is Before Harrison Town (and Before Harrison Mills / Kilby). Campsite about half hour in, ON the road so you can't miss it.
Not sure if people are eating in camp Friday night, or at the Sasquatch Inn, which is where you turn North onto the Forestry Road. Friday Steak Dinner $8.00 . Wow ! Saturday Roast Beef Dinner, wow !
Unlikely we can make it all the way on the west road, due to snow. So will explore areas and side roads. Frisch suggests we try to find the hotspring on the East road. There is always the public pool in town, just not so atmospheric.
See you there. Or wait for the U-Tube videos.
Cheers, Christine.

NOOO it's not allowed to snow in van, at least not in north van! I have a big day trip to "The Shore" with a ton of riding buddies next weekend, snow needs to be melting so more trails are clear :)
