You shouldn't buy any tow strap with these metal hooks in them, you should see what happens when the strap breaks and that hook becomes a projectile!!! Buy a strap with loops sewn into the ends.

yeah ther guy who got me out (after we broke one strap)had one with a shackle and it worked great

Yeah mine that broke was the one above, supposedly 10,000lb break strength?? the other ones I have are the loop and shackle type. Dude who pulled out patty, his seemed to be 20,000lb plus, the kind used to tow broken semi trucks.
