Can you guys help with this sensor/wire - what is it??

While under the Delica greasing all the points I found a dangling wire that leads to a sensor but i don't know what it's for.

Here's a pic of the little sensor 'clip' that the wire is supposed to attach to:



Here's a pic of the wire, you can see the exposed wire where the little sensor is supposed to be attached. And the actual sensor is just left of the centre of the photo (you can see a round little screw that the wire/clip is supposed to attach. The photo is taken straight up from under the van. Can anyone tell me what this sensor does? Oil temp or pressure maybe?
