Shop hours to change the...

Post by Firesong »

I was wondering what the shops in bc have charges to change the following stuff:
Timing belts /belts/ idler pulley etc.
Water pump, seals
on a '90 Exceed
Im not so much interested in the hourly rate but how many hours it should take.

The cost of the job depends considerable on your definition of what a "timing belt change" means.

The parts list is typically a lot longer than just the timing components and a water pump.

Add:
accessory belts
coolant flush
coolant
oil & filter
rad hoses
thermostat
radiator cap
valve cover gasket
~ and so on ~

The prices for this work varies greatly.

I was just asking for the hours for what I had listed.
Nothing complicated. You must be from a shop ;)

Anyway, got my Delica back today. Happy Happy Joy Joy.
