Trying to find front brake pads, rotors, calipers!
Hello. I have been searching the L300 technical forum on this subject and found alot of useful info. I need to get new front brake pads, rotors and calipers for my '92 delica P35 L300 starwagon. I am under the impression that I can go to lordco and order these parts for an '88 montero and they will work on my deli. Does anyone know if this is true. If not I will go buy them from Japanoid but I live in squamish and it would be nice to save myself a trip to New West. Any info that you could provide would be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks for your help!
PS I also found these part numbers. Does anyone know if these are correct!
Arnley Rotors: 083-2471
Pads: PGD-530c (raybestos ceramic)
Arnley Calipers: 077-10595
077-10605
Thanks for your help!

Great, Thanks very much for your quick response it is greatly appreciated!!
Re: Trying to find front brake pads, rotors, calipers!
Brakes and rotors are standard consumables; don't need to buy special bits from importers.
Lordco has a Delica L300 parts list. If your particular Lordco does not, have them call Kingsway (Burnaby, BC) Lordco and get faxed a copy.
I bought new Ceramic brake pads and installed them last week. They also carry the rotors (and had stock). Raybestos PGD349C confirmed installed perfect match. Also they have a $10 cash back right now on those.

Hey Toaster,
The numbers above are for the upgrade - the twin piston caliper. You will need to trim a bit of the back plate on the van so the calipers will fit.

Yer gonna laugh, but here is an iphone snapshot of the L300 list from Lordco's internal cheat sheet.
Note the rotors 101-3280

Re: Trying to find front brake pads, rotors, calipers!
I tried Golf Cart's truck after the "-ero" upgrade and I have to say that the difference is tremendous.
I got the following quote from Lordco:
Arnley Rotors:
083-2471 - 91.69/each
Arnley Calipers:
077-1059S (left) - 66.09 (core 60$)
077-1060S (right) - 66.09 (core 60$)
Pads:
PGD-530c (ceramic) - 83.79/set
My friends at DB Aldous do much better on the brake pads, and highly recommended kevlar/metallic over ceramic for this application:
MD530 (kevlar, metallic) 36.54/set

And this afternoon RichD, Lazybrownfart & myself installed all the new hardware. I must say Rich was beaming that he could hit the brakes and almost launch the rear wheels off the ground in a panic breaking test.
Now a quick changeover to braided steel brake lines, another bleed and we;re done like dinner.
Glad he's happy.

Yes, the truck stops now, and with confidence.Golf Cart wrote:And this afternoon RichD, Lazybrownfart & myself installed all the new hardware. I must say Rich was beaming that he could hit the brakes and almost launch the rear wheels off the ground in a panic breaking test.

This of course has once again highlighted the need to fix my torsion bars, and soon!
Pretty sure I need to open it back up as I heard some noise from the left wheel that I don't much like. I am already sourcing a set of SKF-BR50 wheel bearings, and the hex-keyed fasteners for the hubs too since mine were a little thrashed coming off.
I'll probably wait until I lift the truck to do steel braided hoses.

You probably want to check out WestCoast Fastners in Burnaby.RichD wrote:hex-keyed fasteners for the hubs too since mine were a little thrashed coming off.
They have the biggest selection of fine threaded metric high grade bolts. If you find suitable bolts, please get a set for both sides for me too (+ a few spares)
Probably the main problems is to fit a socket in the tight space.
