Just installed my pyro in my egr blanking pate, went on a test drive and it worked great , I was amazed at how fast it responded to a little pedal.
Buuuuut after a couple of kms the needle got jumpy and quit . I was using a temp power supply and checked it and it was all ok and suddenly the guage worked again so i checked for a pinched wire but all looked good and the guage worked intermittantly and then stopped.
So I've ripped out the drivers eat again and checked over everything , the wiring tests ok and everything looks snug.
So my question is how would I use a multimeter to test the probe/wiring to find the fault?

Re: Pyro help
What are you wiring it to ?
I had it to the power wire in the instrument cluster and it turned out everytime I use the power windows, the pyro would flicker like crazy.
Wiring the power wire into something that fluctuates will give you similar symptoms that you are having.

Re: Pyro help
I just jammed the wire in a hot spot in the fuse box for testing purposes. Actually that sounds more casual than what I did, I want to be sure it's working before I permanently mount it. I really envy the L400's right now with their new fangled hoods over the engine bay.
I'll jump back in there in a couple of hours and start testing my wires for continuity and power and ground and see if I get lucky.
Is it possible to add a circuit to the fuse panel?
I assume it's gotta be a switched power source.

Re: Pyro help
Just finished the most beautiful gauge installation ever.
Maramiesto came over to provide spiritual guidance
and Lordco runs.
Calm cool thoughts ruled the day.
Just had to rewire in a nonscrappy way and it all works fine.
If anyone needs
help
your dash can look as cool as mine in 48 hrs or less.
