Re: Rancho shock - rear welding
Hey Tiny
Im going to make the pin to eye mounts that will
fit our existing rear suspension setup. Then we can
find some eyetoeye shocks that fit the bill.
I'll make 2 sets of overstrength stuff :)

Re: Rancho shock - rear welding
I picked up parts. 2 sets cost $17.00
Will put them together when I have time.
No rush of course.
8.50 each is pretty good

Re: Rancho shock - rear welding
Ok, just a heads up, there are a lot of part numbers floating around
regarding the Ranchos'. I thought I had ordered the right one for the
front and low and behold, my front mounts are pin on top and a cross
brace through a loop for the bottom. I have a 1990 Delica.
Anyway, fed up with ordering all these different things.
Made an adapter and they are on. My unit now takes pin on top and
loop on the bottom.
<satisfied smile>

Re: Rancho shock - rear welding
Update:
Stupid Rancho Shock
One of the front Rancho shocks is shot.
Started pretty quick after I put it in.
A knocking - 'klock klock klock' sound over small little bumps
in the road. Not the big ones.
The guys I got the shock from said umm well umm that doesn't
like you have the right application for your application.
Meaning, since it isn't spec'd for your vehicle you might be
up $!!! creek. Then said I should bring my vehicle into
his shop. Gawd, how much to check that..
anyway this morning I changed the shock to a new one
since I had Tiny's set here too and the sound was gone.
Im getting good at changing shocks, took about 20 minutes
with some checking it over and tightening all the bolts in the
undercarriage that I could find.
Im going to take it back today and give him a chance to
make good on this. Maybe he was having a bad day and
someone had tried to mess them over before.
