Hi Everybody,
I have a bit of a problem with the old Delica. The Crystal lite power shades don't work. By pressing the button, I can hear that the motor is still working, but the shades aren't moving and stay rolled up.
After searching this forum, I have been unable to find any detailed instructions on how to repair the shade.
Can anybody provide me with both basic information on the way the power-shade functions and how I can repair it.
Thanks a bunch,
-Gali

Sounds like it could be as simple as them being jammed. That happened to one of mine and I just pulled on it manually while using the switch and it came out no problem. They can get stuck if you hold the button down to long...

This is what I found. Does it help ?gali wrote:After searching this forum, I have been unable to find any detailed instructions on how to repair the shade.
I haven't worked on the sunshades for a long time but the clips are usually the culprits if the motor is still working.

Hi, a little more info may be useful as well.gali wrote:The Crystal lite power shades don't work.
You say they don't work, have they EVER worked for you and just stopped now, or did you just acquire the delica and they don't work?
And by shades (plural), i'm assuming all 4 are not working? Or just 1 or 2?
Thanks.

If they are all stuck open, what's the problem?
The only time I've ever closed them was to demonstrate that they work.

Re: How can I repair my Crystal lite power sunshades?
Thanks for your help. After investigating the shade mechanism I found out that the both plastic clips that fixes the end of the blends with rod are broken. I've already known the how-to with the metal strip, but I would prefer a simpler solution.
Has anybody tried the fix this with earth magnets? Although this is only a manual fix, it would be the most elegant way for me but I can't imagine that this would work with the heavy rolling mechanism.
