Pajero 2.8 Belt replacement

Post by kpsxtyone »

Hi,

My belts broke for both the alternator and A/C compressor so i went to Parts Source and got a bunch of different lengths until I found a good replacement.

Alternator Belt - GatorBack - 15396 x 2 (UPC Code 037256013669) : 11AV0990
A/C - GatorBack - 15371 x 1 (UPC Code 037256013614) : 11AV0925

This is how the belt looks like
http://www.goodyearep.com/ProductsDetail.aspx?id=11752

all cost just over $30 (both are made by Goodyear)

Hope this helps others needing replacement. This might be similar to the Delicas 2.8 but I cannot guarantee

cheers,
Ryan

I just got the PN numbers off the packaging. Maybe check with partsource if they can cross reference with lordco?

Thanks for the leg-work. Those look much much better than the asian parts available through some of our dealers.

Somewhat on topic.. how do you double check your belt tension after installing? It runs fine, just want to be sure.

Thanks.
