I'm hoping to avoid breaking anything and was wondering if there is anything to know when removing the lamp at the roof very rear of the van.
Sorry I couldn't find this thru search, perhaps because I don't know the exact term for this light.

Rear Hatch Overhead Lamp
Not really. The lens pops off first, there's a little groove on each end to get a screwdriver into, then it's two screws and a 2-pin plug.
Finding the groove on the lens might be a bit tricky the first time, as both the lens and the sliding part it's clipped to are transparent.

Nothing says "poor workmanship" more than wrinkles in the duct tape.
