Actually, I know it doesn't measure up to specifications, which is probably why I'm changing the blasted thing again.
Anyway, symptoms as observed: temperature gauge on dash does not read correctly - too high, too low, moving all over the place when engine warmed up, I'm thinking it's not reading correctly; glow plug solenoid is clicking like a pair of castanets behind the driver's seat (ECU thinks the engine is cold).
So, this time, no mucking about, get the proper Mitsubishi part from Rocky Mountain Imports ('cause that's what he's bringing in), five minutes in the driveway with a socket and voila! No more clattering of the glow plug solenoid, temperature gauge is correct and I'm not having to be explaining what kind of vehicle my van is 'like' to the poor guy at the Lordco counter who can't look anything up unless he knows what vehicle it's for.
Thanx John for the proper part!
