Brake part numbers available at your local autoparts store

Post by MEXIBISHI »

:-) HOLA! every one, just want to share some info about the brake part numbers for front calipers(They are Dual Piston by the way), front rotors, front brake pads, rear rotors and rear brake pads. I din't replace the rear calipers, they were still in good conditions. I hope this may help someone to save some time, frustration and explanations about why some vehicles were made with the same parts...SENIOR...LOL
Mitsubishi Montero SR v6 3.5 Lt (94 & up) has allmost the same suspencion and front end parts and components, compatible with Mitsubishi Delica Space Gear L400( As allmost everybody knows), unfortunatelly the people at the local, famous and most reliable autoparts suplier in the province of B.C., sometimes don't believe that  and they think you are crazy , So... here is some numbers to make their lifes a little easy...

THis is great info ! Thanks.
I'm pretty new with out Deli. I'm living on the East side in Vancouver. Do you know a good place to buy parts from ? I bought some glow plugs from Japanoid a while ago, and it turns out they sold me the wrong ones. I'm not sure if this was an honest mistake of if they aren't really on the ball. Any feedback would be great

I've posted this (L400 - Montero) part compatibility before.

SEARCH :-D :M :-D :M :-D

There are many part numbers depending on which year and brake part manufacture you choose.

The only thing relevant that helps others is this :

North American L400 comparable application :

Mitsubish Montero
1992-2000: Base; All Engines
1992-1997: LS; All Engines
1992-1997: SR; All Engines
1992-1993: RS; All Engines

Comparable application for wheel bearings only :

1983-2000: All Submodels; All Engines

The same front inner and outer wheel bearings are used in L300's and 1983 to 2000 Montero's.

The L400 inner wheel bearing is an odd size. Took me a few weeks to match one up at a local bearing shop.

Front rotors from ANY Montero will NOT fit an L400.

Searching will bring up this info :

Front calipers and brake pads are compatible
Rear calipers, rotors and brake pads are compatible
Front outer wheel bearing/seal is compatible

Front inner bearing is NOT compatible
Front rotors are NOT compatible

This is because the L400 outer axle shaft has a larger inner diameter and bearing/race and is proprietary to the L400 Spacegear.
