An Obituary for Marvin

Marvin was my window washing/cleaning company's transportation, and my trusty Delica sidekick. He took me many places and we went through much together. Last Thursday, amidst a West-Kootenay adventure, Marvin's life was cut short at the tender odometer reading of 92,000 when a motorcyclist ignorant ...

Re: Rocky Mountain Imports Ltd. question

I went to pick up a oil filter, my first time dealing with RMI. I had called ahead and he said it would be around 36$. When i got there he came to the door with it and I handed over 40$ cash, he said "that's enough" took it and closed the door. Only time I've delt with him. Meanwhile I got...

Re: Anyone in Victoria with an angle drill?

What would you think of some PL3000 or something like that as a replacement for a weld?

Re: Steps for aligning Timing

Hey Paul!
Great to see you on here. Speaking of the van, do you remember what model you figured it was? I can't recall

Hope all is well :)

Anyone in Victoria with an angle drill?

My rocker arm shaft busted on me, the back 3 inches or so just fractured completely from the rest. I believe this was a result of the back bolt fracturing or weakening from when my timing belt went in april? CVI is sending me a new shaft and bolt, but before I could do anything I need to get the bro...

Re: Steps for aligning Timing

The guys at CVI were a great help. I ended up getting a whole wack more done; all the belts replaced, a new rocker arm, a new pump I believe? expensive but it was now or later.

Here's a pic of my company van :)

Re: Steps for aligning Timing

It's a diesel engine and I use a mix usually of veggie oil from VI Biodiesel coop and regular diesel. The story achieved a great twist. Originally what had happened is the balancer went on the highway just outside of the hope and the balancer belt knocked the timing out of whack. I was towed to a gr...

Steps for aligning Timing

What are the steps for aligning the timing on a Mitsubishi Delica (93'). I'm stuck in a mountain pass and will have to do it myself with the extra hands and wrenches of a friend and would like to get it aligned and tightened correctly to get me to richmond. I'm not sure if it matters but I can't rem...
