Well, thankfully it never came up. The mechanic admitted they had installed the filter improperly and fixed the issue for free.
Thanks for your input!

Re: Help! fuel filter installed and my van is barely running
Thank you for your replies! I didn't get a chance to read them before I saw the mechnanic the next day, but it did turn out to be air in the system. I had printed the pages of the manual and a discussion which included the fix for air in the system when I went in, so the mechanic just went back thro...

paying a mechanic for fixing a problem he created???
Hey all, Just posted this (http://www.delica.ca/forum/viewtopic.php?f=64&t=16550) in the L400 technical section, but I'm wondering... what's the rule here for reaching an agreement on cost of the repair. When you take a perfectly functioning vehicle into a mechanic and you get something that bar...

Help! fuel filter installed and my van is barely running now
This summer I drove my Delica across the country to Newfoundland. I took it in to the shop this morning for an oil change, and decided to have one of the fuel filters I brought with me installed. when the mechanic gave me the keys he warned that it wasn't starting very well since they installed the ...

Re: Driving across Canada to live in NL. How to prepare?
That's the route that my dad says he used to take when we lived in Ontario, but I might not get another chance to drive across CANADA again in my life. We intend to take the trans-canada, exept where it is quicker to take, for example, the coquihalla, all the way across from mile zero in Victoria to...

Nice! And did the mechanic ask for any information, or were they able to install without any issues?

Remote start in L400
Is this possible? Has anyone had this installed in their van? It seems like this would be a nice way to ensure that the van gets properly warmed up in the morning, as I could start it from the comfort of my apartment!

Driving across Canada to live in NL. How to prepare?
Hello All, New poster here. I have owned a Delica L400 for over a year now with 180k on the motor. I am moving to Newfoundland this fall and would like to get a major service done with some preemptive mods. What can you guys recommend replacing now so that I reduce the risk of breakdown/wait-for-par...
