Re: Mtn Van Photos
New ride is new, so the ride is great but the pocket book is light. Too bad you have to pay so much for that new smell.

Re: Mtn Van Photos
Hey, I was kind of surprised to see so much action on my old post. We hesitantly parted ways with our van in August 2011. It's tearing up the roads down in Duncan now so while it may show up in Campbell River it's no longer parked in our driveway. We decided our need for a pickup was trumping our ti...

Re: Delica Dealer / Importer Ratings and Feedback
We bought our Delica from FiveStar last June, with CC Auto doing the pre-sale maintenance. I would give them both a positive rating without hesitation. Five Star is a used car lot in Parksville. As I understand it Glen at Coombs Country Autos imports, inspects, updates and repairs the vehicles while ...

Re: idle increase on parking?
The idle increase should be due to your AC pressure switch. Your AC will run when in defrost mode if your AC button is on. Try turning the AC off with the AC button and see if this eliminates your idle fluctuations. It is normal for the idle to ramp up with the AC on. In my original post I stated t...

Re: Front Rotor change with pics
I can't see them either Matt. I don't know what the reason is, because I see some of the pics on some posts and not others, but from the comments posted it seems other people can see them even though I can't. It may have something to do with the way they were loaded. I've checked all my settings and...

Re: Delica Dog... and maybe some training advice?
I've got all kinds of advice about dogs but most of it applies to specific problems in specific situations, every dog is different and what works with some dogs can be counterproductive with others. Two things I highly recommend is crate training and a book called the Art of Raising a Puppy by the M...

That's a fine looking ride. The wheels look really good with that color combo. Right On!

We also bought from Five Star. We checked out some other dealers on the island and we felt most comfortable with Five Star and their partnership with CCauto in Coombs. Glen is a great guy and I have no problem paying a premium for good service and piece of mind.

Re: Seeking my first Delica
Can't believe no ones replied to you? Anyways, I'm on the island so I don't know any of the dealers on the mainland. I would say to look for the same things you would on any vehicle. Is it clean? Does look like it was maintained? Any rust? fluid leaks? Drive it, how does it drive? does it drive stra...

Re: My "nameless" ride - Part 2
Your photo links are working for me now Sean. Nice van. I like the smaller wind skirts around your door windows. We have the really big ones and they kind of limit your visibility. Looks like a nice clean unit.

I can't see your pics Sean, may be just my problem but just thought I'd let you know the image isn't opening up.

Get drunk, then start removing seats, pass out part way through, sleep like the dead.

Re: removable seating?
Just wanted to clarify in case there might be any confusion, the seats come out but you have to unbolt them. They don't have any "quick" disconnect hardware. At least that's how mine is.

Re: Strange request for Delica owners in Calgary
There's a buttload of Deli's on the Island. Parksville seems to be Deli central. There are three dealers in Parksville and Coombs- Fiver Star, VI Custom Imports and Global Garage. Fiver Star is right on the main highway at the south end of Parksville, that's where I picked up my van. They've usually...
