Re: Winterize....Alberta bound.
I live in Calgary and i have a oil pan heater, block heater and run synthetic oil. If you run 15/40 you could blow a head gasket. Even if you just have a block heater, that is good. Heat you oil

Re: Underground parking and strata woes
I have noticed when i do let it idle at low RPM it is cold ( low temp not very warm ) at any length of time. I do let it get to a smooth idle before i drive and oil pressure gets down. I do this because i was told by the fellow who fixed my diesel rabbit to much pressure on a cold day will find the ...

Re: Underground parking and strata woes
I have installed a oil gauge to see what my old 89 pj was doing. On a cold day in calgary the oil gauge is up to 90 to 100, cold start not plugged in -10 ish. I let it warm up until the oil gauge hit 60 ish. This takes about 5 min. I only do this so i don't blow my head gasket. This is what i am to ...

Re: Gasoline does not work on a Diesel
I did put .25 gas in my 89 pj. It turns out to be 75% diesel 25% gas. Ran like crap. Drove 100k put more diesel in did that 3 times. All was fine. But I did not drive it hard at all. I have in the past put gas in my old vw diesel but only 1/3 and vw operator manual was fine with that. Drain tank as ...

The boost on my turbo was turned up from 8lbs to 12lbs and performed quite well from Calgary to Van Is...

Re: Faulty fuel gauge
From what i can tell from the posts your sending unit is working and your gauge is working. The only problem now is the float attached to the sending unit solid or hallow , if it is hallow it has cracked and fuel has got inside it there for weighing it down. That is one of the things that can set th...

Re: Rain Rain make my wipers work again
Well i made it through winter and the spring with my wipers not acting up. So i have redone them and lubed them with chain lube, all the joints where lubed, and drilled holes in the rotating parts and lubed that. It now works great in the rain.

Re: Need Help! Wiper motor issues
It's not the motor. It's the wiper arm assembly. You need to remove it and drill into the part that houses the rotating part. Drill just deep and wide enough to put the plastic spay tip from a wd40 nozzle. But use chain lube. This is a common thing in the imports. Water gets behind the wipers and co...

Re: slight smell of coolant?
This is the begining of the end. The smell is correct. That is what I went through with my 89 pajero. The smell then the drip , the coolant level did not go down at first but over time is did very little at a time. Spent a day taking the dash out, and the heater core. When I looked at the core it tu...
