Hi there, I also posted to the Delica Trader site but not sure if it worked, so also trying here. My beloved van has been well maintained by Butch at CVI and is currently there awaiting a new cylinder head. I am trying to decide if I should sell it - and am gauging interest here. Hi there, Just got the van back with a new transmission... great to have her back. When is the best time to use overdrive? and how should you go into it? I'm assuming it is for going up hills and you just push the button? More info on how to drive to make these Delicas last would be much appreciated...

yup i did and mardy was super duper nice as always.
the price japanoid gave me was similar to mardy's - but they included labour into the cost.

the local mechanic up in squish is also very good - and his estimate was much higher too.

update:

there was the right amount of transmission fluid (the lower markers on the rod when you run it just after start up). however, the fluid did smell a bit burnt - ouchie!

i'm actually trying to get one of isaac's plates on my van but am missing the piece that the skid plate mounts to.... mardy is trying to figure out the exact piece it is that i need.
